2024 Vacation Bible School Ready to take the Plunge!

Vacation Bible School is one of the traditional highlights of our year, and 2024 won’t be an exception! This year, VBS will be held during the week of June 24, and we’ll learn about God’s Friendship and offer of Living Water.

PUMC to Host Blood Drive (5/23/24)

PUMC will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive in our Fellowship Hall on 5/23/24. Registration is required (open this post for instructions and details on how to register).

2024 Easter Egg Hunt (3/30/24)

PUMC is throwing a party! All neighbors (near and far) are invited to the annual Easter Egg Hunt! It will be held on our south Lawn on Saturday March 30. The hunt starts at 11:00 AM!

Rev. Mike Chapman to Become PUMC’s New Pastor (1/26/24)

In early January 2024, we received the news that our Pastor, Rev. Jim Bolton, was not going to be re-appointed to PUMC. Several weeks later, we received the news that Rev. Mike Chapman will be appointed to PUMC effective 7/1/24. As we struggle to say goodbye to Pastor Jim, we are excited to say hello to Pastor Mike.

Men Prepare to Retreat (2/9/24)

Why are we here? What is our purpose in life? To dive into that question, the Men of PUMC and of our community are set to gather at the Black Rock Retreat Center for a weekend of learning, worship, and growth.

Lenten Devotional 2024

The 2024 Lenten Devotional Booklet contains articles for each day during the season of Lent (2/14/24 through 3/31/24). They’re written by Christians from many walks of life, most of them are lay people. Use this booklet during this season to prepare for Easter.

Leaders to Get in Step with the Master Teacher (10/14/23)

As parents and as people of God’s Church, our greatest call is to nurture our children and youth so that they can grow into a living relationship with our Creator. PUMC is hosting a workshop which will provide teachers with tools that will help them guide our children.

PUMC to Celebrate All Saints with a Trunk or Treat! (10/28/23)

The 2023 Trunk or Treat will be held on Saturday, October 28 (6-8 PM). After the years affected by COVID, we are back in full swing! All are invited to our parking lot to enjoy decorated cars and candy. Come inside and enjoy plenty of kid-friendly games (including a bounce house). Rain or shine!

PUMC to Help Provide a Ray of Life (October 2023)

During the month of October 2023, PUMC will help sponsor Ray of Life light kits which will deliver battery powered lights to people in war-torn Ukraine. These light units include a solar panel which charges the battery during the day.

PUMC to Host Blood Drive (10/12/23)

PUMC will host an American Red Cross Blood drive on Thursday October 12, 2023.

PUMC Sends Aid to Maui (8/20/23)

In August 2023, wildfires destroyed much of the town of Lahaina on the Island of Maui in Hawaii. UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) quickly responded, and by the end of the month PUMC had contributed to the efforts by taking two special offerings.

PUMC Helps People in Need by Hosting Blood Drive (7/13/23)

Once again, the PUMC community participated in the American Red Cross’ summer blood drive. This drive was held on 7/13/23. The result was an important addition to the area’s critical supply of blood; 25 units were donated, potentially saving the lives of some of our neighbors.

2023 Christmas Marketplace (11/11/23)

The Christmas Marketplace is a mission event that raises money to help people around the globe. And, it’s a way to buy some great Christmas gifts and to present your talents. This year’s Marketplace will be held on 11/11/23.

A Summer of Worship at the Pitman Camp Meeting (7/9/23)

The Pitman Camp meeting kicks off its 152nd season on July 9. A six-week series of worship services will be presented throughout the summer.

2023 Vacation Bible School to Shine a Light on God’s Love! (6/26/23)

This year’s Vacation Bible School will start on June 26. It will be held between 6-8PM on each evening during that week. We’re going to lunch into a cosmic quest to discover God’s Light and then to have a blast as we shine that light into the world.

Sweet Treasures Planned for 2023 Easter Egg Hunt (4/8/23)

PUMC will hold our 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the day before Easter: Saturday April 8. Thousands of plastic eggs are being filled with all sorts of sweet goodies and they’ll be scattered on our lawn. Starting at 11AM everyone will have a chance to collect the eggs (while celebrating the treasure of God’s Love).
